Biography
In his early teens, Matt played with various bands in his home town of Hull in East Yorkshire, releasing several tape-only recordings in the early nineties featuring collaborations with Plastic Angel, Leon Welburn (currently recording and performing with Mammal Hum) and many others. Whilst at university, he took time out to record and promote a CD EP of original material and continued to play live at various venues in West Yorkshire.
Upon completing his degree, Matt moved to Berkshire and quickly joined Forrester, a band focused around the songs of local singer-songwriter John Forrester. During his time with Forrester, he played a number of gigs in the Berkshire area and contributed electric guitar, piano and string arrangements to Forrester's 2001 album 'All The Wrong Things'.
Alongside playing guitar with Critical Cover, Matt can also be found playing bass and producing records with singer/songwriter Mike Halliwell (with Alan and Adam).
